Resumen : | OBJETIVOS: Determinar si las guardias nocturnas son factor asociado a Síndrome
de Burnout en profesionales de la salud.
MATERIAL Y MÉTODOS: Se realizó un estudio observacional, analítico de corte
transversal, en el Hospital Provincial Docente Belén de Lambayeque, entre
noviembre y diciembre del 2019, participando 133 profesionales de la salud entre
médicos y enfermeras.
RESULTADOS: La prevalencia de Sindrome de Burnout fue del 31,58%. El análisis
bivariado identificó al estado civil como variable asociada a síndrome de Burnout,
donde la proporción de casados en aquellos con y sin síndrome de Burnout fueron
78,57% vs 60,44% respectivamente, OR = 2,40 IC 95% [1,03-5,61] (p = 0,04); así
mismo al tiempo de trabajo, el área de trabajo y la modalidad de contrato. La variable
exposición del estudio, guardias nocturnas también estuvo asociada al síndrome de
Burnout (73,81% vs 52,75%), OR 2,53 IC 95% [1,13-5,63] (p = 0,021).
CONCLUSIONES: Las guardias nocturnas si constituyen un factor asociado a
sindrome de Burnout, incrementando el riesgo a más del doble en aquellos que
hacen guardias nocturnas. OBJECTIVES: To determine whether night guards is a factor associated with Burnout Syndrome in health professionals. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An observational, analytical cross-sectional study was carried out at the Hospital Provincial Docente Belén in Lambayeque, between November and December 2019, with the participation of 133 health professionals including doctors and nurses. RESULTS: The prevalence of Burnout Syndrome was 31.58%. The bivariate analysis identified the marital status as a variable associated to Burnout syndrome, where the proportion of married people in those with and without Burnout syndrome was 78.57% vs 60.44% respectively, OR = 2.40 95% CI [1.03-5.61] (p = 0.04); as well as the working time, the working area and the contract modality. The study exposure variable, night guards, was also associated with Burnout syndrome (73.81% vs 52.75%), OR 2.53 95% CI [1.13-5.63] (P = 0.021). CONCLUSIONS: Night guards is a factor associated with Burnout syndrome, more than doubling the risk for those on night duty |
