Alcoholismo y migración en relación al genero de pacientes con VIH que acuden a programas de atención del hospital General de Jaén, MINSA, 2005 -2013

Abstract

Comprobar la correlación del género con alcoholismo y migración en pacientes con VIH que acuden a programas de atención del Hospital General de Jaén.

Material y Métodos: Se llevó a cabo una investigación cuantitativa de tipo descriptiva, retrospectiva, transversal y correlacional. La muestra estuvo constituida por 126 pacientes del programa “Estrategia de TBC y VIH” del Hospital General de Jaén, 20052013. Resultados: La edad de los pacientes fluctuó entre 17 a 58 años. En mujeres la media fue 29.02±7.98 y en hombres 31.05±9.30, sin diferencia estadística significativa. Los hombres constituyeron el 67.5% frente a 32.5% de mujeres, con una razón 2.07:1. El antecedente de alcoholismo alcanzó el 81.7% de todos los pacientes. El antecedente de migración totalizó el 37.3%. La frecuencia en hombres por antecedente de alcoholismo fue superior a la de mujeres y mostró una diferencia estadística altamente significativa (p<0.005). El género masculino también fue más frecuente que el femenino en el antecedente de migración, sin embargo la diferencia estadística no fue significativa (p>0.05). Conclusiones: El género masculino se correlacionó con antecedente de alcoholismo. Ninguno de los géneros se correlacionó con el antecedente de migración.

Material and Methods: We conducted a quantitative research correlational descriptive, retrospective, cross-sectional. The sample consisted of 126 patients of the ""Strategy of TB and HIV"" General Hospital Jaén, 2005-2013.

Results: The age of the patients ranged between 17-58 years. In women the means WAS 29.02 ± 7.98 and 31.05 ± 9.30 Men in the statistical sin Significant Difference. Men accounted for 67.5% 32.5% Against Women, with a ratio 2.07: 1. The history of alcoholism reached 81.7% of all patients. The history of migration totaled 37.3%. The frequency in Men By history of alcoholism WAS superior to women and Mostro A Very Significant statistical difference (p <0.005). Also male gender was more frequent than female is the antecedent of Migration, sin embargo Non Significant statistical difference was (p> 0.05).

Conclusions: Male gender was correlated with a history of alcoholism. Neither Genres correlated with a history of migration.
